The BBA works closely with regulatory authorities throughout the UK as well as with housing warranty bodies to ensure Agrément Certificates are accepted nationwide.
The BBA’s role is to protect the ultimate consumer (e.g. the householder, the property owner or those occupying buildings) by providing reassurance to users, designers, insurers and regulators. This is done by issuing Agrément Certificates to manufactures of construction products and systems. The approval process examines the product both at the time the certificate is granted and throughout its lifetime.
